Yvonne Ihlenfeldt Gordon

Frances Yvonne (Ihlenfeldt) Gordon, age 58, of Leesville, LA, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Alexandria, LA. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday November 27, 2012, at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Interment will follow at White Rock Cemetery near Ross. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, from noon until service time, at the funeral home. Yvonne was born August 10, 1954 in Dallas, the daughter of Samuel Ihlenfeldt and Dorothy (Gribble) Hickman. She graduated from Leesville High School. She was married to Kenneth A. Gordon. Yvonne was medically retired from Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital and previously worked at the Leesville Plasma Center as well. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and loved spending time with her family. Yvonne was preceded in death by her grandmother, Beulah B. (Cook) Gribble; her fathers, Sam Ihlenfeldt and Bobbie K. Hickman; and her father-in-law, Melvin E. Gordon. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth A. Gordon; two children; Melissa Y. Koonce and husband Chad, of New Llano, LA and Christopher R. Bainer of Leesville, LA; mother, Dorothy G. Hickman of New Llano, LA; mother-in-law, Madge (Trawick) Gordon of Leesville, LA; three brothers, Steve L. Ihlenfeldt and wife Donna, of Waco, Darrell G. Ihlenfeldt and wife Jacki, of Leesville, LA, and Bobby D. Hickman of New Llano, LA; sister-in-law, Joyce Sumney and husband G.W.; grandchildren, Brianna J. Cable, Christian J. Cable, Alexis M. Koonce, and Chandler D. Koonce, all of New Llano, LA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
