Willie E. Stowers, age 81, of Robinson, passed away late Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Lynn Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Axtell Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until service time at the funeral home. Billie was born January 23, 1933 in Marks, Mississippi the daughter of Odis and Louise (Fitts) Ford. She attended schools in Waco. On November 18, 1978 she was united in marriage to Floyd G. Stowers in Waco. Billie was a bank officer and teller for several area banks before retiring in 1982. She was a member of Mooreville United Methodist Church in Chilton and also the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter in Waco. Billie is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Pam Sanders; a step-son, Michael Stowers; two brothers, George Ford and James Ford; and two sisters, Bessie Virginia Holt Page and Rosemary Breedlove. Survivors include her beloved husband of 35 years, Floyd G. Stowers of Robinson; a daughter, Leslye Garner and husband Michael of Cave Creek, Arizona; a step-daughter, Charlotte Jones and husband Ron of Flower Mound; four grandchildren, Lindsay, Chelsey, Zach and Laci; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Sam Vassar, Jim Dildine, Robert Ford, Ryan Ford, Phillip Holt and Wesley Holt. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mooreville United Methodist Church, 206 FM 2643, Chilton, TX 76632.
