Wendal Wade Rash, age 49, of Elm Mott, was welcomed by and rejoined with his mother and father, Wednesday August 23, 2006. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Gholson Cemetery with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. Wendal was born on October 30, 1956 in Waco, the second of six children born to Billy Joyce and Emma Jean (Moulder) Rash. He attended schools in Ross and West. He worked as a welder and pipe fitter. Wendal had worked for Plantation Foods, Lochridge & Priest, and Brown & Root. Wendal had a promising career as a bull rider until an accident causing extensive facial surgery intervened. He participated in the West and Mesquite Rodeos. He enjoyed fishing, black powder hunting in New Mexico, and spending time with his daddy, who he referred to as "the old man". In addition to his parents, others awaiting his arrival were his grandparents, Ernest & Dimple Rash and Marvin & Nannie Moulder. Survivors include a daughter, LaDonna Rash of Chalk Bluff; a son, Shannon Rash; grandchildren, Maeson, Wyatt and Lee; three sisters, Joyce "Sister" Quick and husband Jim of Elm Mott, Carra "Becky" Smith and husband Howard of Arlington and Renee "Nae" Dorris and husband Eddie of Gholson; two brothers, Troy "Toe" Rash and companion Rod Billings and Kevin "Kev" Rash and wife Kim all of Waco; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
