Viola "Vi" Talbott

Viola "Vi" Talbott, age 90, of West, passed away early Friday morning, March 5, 2021 at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. A memorial visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are encouraged at all services. Vi was born April 11, 1930 in Coopersville, MI, the daughter of Byron and Calla (Hathaway) Mills. She was a 1947 graduate of Hudson High School in Michigan. On January 10, 1948 she was united in marriage to Jack Talbott in Angola, Indiana. Jack preceded her in death on March 14, 2008. Vi attended First Baptist Church of West. She worked for the Czech Gift Shoppe and the Village Shoppe in West for several years, taught music, and was a homemaker. Vi enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, and needlework. She loved playing cards and bingo with her friends. Vi is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marlene Ann Talbott; and sisters, Floris Beardsley and Leona Sweigart. Survivors include her son, Terry Talbott and wife Norma of Plano; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends Rescue in Waco.
