Veronica Covey

Veronica Covey, age 63, of Waco, formerly of West, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2019 at West Brethren Cemetery near West, with Travis Hill officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Veronica was born August 31, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama the daughter of Ronald and Ima Jean (Walls) Eddins. She attended West area schools. Veronica worked for TSTC in the welding department for 41 years before retiring in 2015. She enjoyed making friends at her job where she was dedicated to the students and their well-being and success. She was an officer for the American Welding Society for a number of years. Veronica is preceded in death by her mother, Ima Jean Eddins; grandmother, Ottillie Walls; and grandfather, O.B. Walls. Survivors include several cousins, other relatives, and friends. Honorary pallbearers are her former co-workers at TSTC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
