Van Edward Bartosh, age 46, of Joshua, passed away Monday afternoon, April 19, 2010 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Rev. Will Straten as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery. Van was born November 3, 1963 in Arlington, the son of E. J. and Virginia Ann (Straten) Bartosh. He was a graduate of Diamond Hill Jarvis High School in Fort Worth. He had worked for Bartosh Trucking for many years, and most recently was a Documentum Specialist for DynCorp in Fort Worth for the last 5 years. He was a member of KJT in Tours and St. Ann Catholic Church in Burleson. Van always loved to tend to his cows, goats, horses, donkeys, rabbits, and just spending time on the farm. He also enjoyed playing the lottery, doing crossword puzzles, and loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Survivors include his parents, E.J. and Virginia Bartosh of Joshua; one brother, Cody Bartosh and wife Dolly of Arlington; two sisters, Sherry Bartosh of Joshua, and Sonya Flores and husband Jamie of North Richland Hills; one niece, Hillary Bartosh; five nephews, Joseph Bartosh, Andrew Bartosh, Ethan Flores, Matthew Flores and Mitchell Flores; special friends, Ed and Sondra Sykora of Godley; many other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Juan Becera, Mark Mynar, Tommy Straten, Randy Straten, Patrick Halamik and Nick Straten. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
