Valerian Pat Pinter, age 84 of Lorena, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 in Lorena. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cemetery near West, with the Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by West V.F.W. Post No. 4819. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Mr. Pinter was born August 17, 1922 in West, the son of Albert and Stella (Hubik) Pinter. He was raised on the family farm in Abbott. On February 8, 1942 he was united in marriage to Lila L. Nix and to this union two children were born, Lila Patricia and James Michael. Pat was a union carpenter specializing in commercial construction for many years in the Central Texas area. He also had his Real Estate Brokers License and was an Appraiser for the R.V.O.S. Insurance Company. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, James Michael Pinter; a brother and sister-in-law, Alphonse and Sidney (Clark) Pinter; and a nephew, Neil Pinter. Survivors include his daughter, Lila Patricia Brown and her husband Orborn "Salty" Brown III of Woodway; four grandchildren, Deborah Kay Elwell and husband Scott of Pearland, Terri Rene McClellan and husband Jim of Richmond, Todd Austin Lewis of Angleton, and Patrick James Lewis of Pearland; two great grandchildren, Sara Marie Lewis, age 12 of Humble and Matthew James McClellan, age 3 of Richmond; a brother, William "Bill" Pinter and wife Lillian, of West; a sister, Evelyn Matula and husband Fred, of West; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorials may be made to the Texas Czech Heritage Cultural Center, P. O. Box 6, La Grange, TX 78945 or the charity of your choice.
