Tim J. Kocian

Timothy J. "Tim" Kocian, age 64, of West, passed away Wednesday morning, September 27, 2023 at TLC East Nursing and Rehabilitation in Temple.

Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2023 at St. Mary's Cemetery near West, with Deacon Ronnie Sykora officiating. He will lie-in-state Sunday from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home.

Tim was born August 1, 1959 in Waco, the son of the late Josephine (Hutyra) and Theodore "Ted" Kocian Sr. He attended West Schools and was a 1979 graduate of West High School. Tim was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and the KJT Society #31, both in West. He worked for West Affiliated Grocery, HEB in Waco, and West Food Mart. Tim enjoyed helping others and keeping a clean house and yard. He was an avid fan of the University of Texas Longhorns and the West Trojans.

Survivors include his siblings, Teddy Kocian and wife Toni of Waco, Janice Russell of West, Randy Kocian of Las Vegas, Nevada, Amy Kocian of West, and Jennifer Cox and husband David of Lorena; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
