Thomas Mynar

Thomas "Tom" Mynar, age 49, of Smithville, formerly of West, passed away Friday evening, August 8, 2008 in Smithville. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Marrs-Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Smithville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the Marrs-Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Smithville. Tom was born on December 4, 1958, in West, the son of Edward and Mary Lou (Kessler) Mynar. He attended school in West and was a graduate of West High School. He then moved to Smithville where he was employed by Kieschnick Construction. On September 16, 1994, he was united in marriage to Frances Smiley in Smithville. Tom loved spending time with his family, especially his step-children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and going on family vacations. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Joe Mynar. Survivors include his beloved wife of 13 years, Frances Mynar of Smithville; three stepsons, Kirby Smiley and wife Rhonda, Benjamin (Benny) Smiley and wife Coleen, Michael Smiley and wife Lacey; one stepdaughter, Michelle (Missy) Randle and husband Mitchell, all of Smithville; his parents, Edward and Mary Lou Mynar of West; one brother, Pat Mynar and friend Susan Matus of West; five sisters, Cathy Matus and husband David, Lori Neckar and husband David, Monica Kaska and husband Alfons, Jeanette Maler and husband Kevin, Annette Hykel and husband Victor, all of West; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Reinke and husband Danny of Lacy Lakeview; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Joe Mynar, Mike Mynar, Roy Soukup, Chris Hajovsky, Robbie Hurst, Curtis Kieschnick, Derik Kieschnick and Ronnie Kieschnick. Honorary pallbearers are Marshall Smiley, Matthew Smiley, Dusty Randle, Jarrett Randle, Richard Smiley, Logan Smiley, and Braiden Smiley. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
