Terry Michael Ihlenfeldt, age 67, of Waco, passed away early Monday morning, July 6, 2015 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jack Bodenhamer officiating. Burial will follow at Closner Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday, at the funeral home. Terry was born January 2, 1948 in Ft. Worth, the son of the late Ernest E. and Olive (Morris) Ihlenfeldt. He attended several schools including Ross and West and was a 1966 graduate of Connally High School prior to attending McLennan Community College. Terry was a Waco Police Officer serving for 38 years before retiring as a Commander in 2007. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elm Mott. Terry was also a member of the Waco Police Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and 4-wheeling. Survivors include a sister, Linda Crews and her husband Herman of Lacy Lakeview; a brother, Larry Ihlenfeldt and his wife Debbie of Chalk Bluff; a niece, Sally Ihlenfeldt; nephews, Mark Crews and Michael Ihlenfeldt; and many other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are members of the Waco Police Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers are John Alexander, Gary Greene and Stan Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
