Terri L. Jares Vrana

Terri L. (Jares) Vrana, age 48, of Gholson, passed away early Sunday afternoon, September 8, 2013 at her residence. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Boniface Onjefu as celebrant. Private burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Terri was born May 23, 1965 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Larry Martin and Charlene Sue (Harris) Jares. She was a 1983 graduate of West High School, prior to receiving her licensed vocational nursing degree from Hill College and her registered nursing degree from McLennan Community College. She was known to be a caring & loving nurse who had a passion to help others. She always put others before herself and had a gentle and caring spirit. Terri currently worked for the Bellmead Kidney Center. She previously worked for Lakeshore Village as the director of nursing, West Community Hospital, West Rest Haven and several other nursing homes in the area. Terri enjoyed doing crafts, helping people, playing pictionary, being the best she could be in life, loved her husband and kids more than anything, and especially loved spending time with her children and granddaughter. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Sue Jares. Survivors include her beloved husband, Gary Vrana of Gholson; her father, Larry Jares of West; a son, Matthew Vrana and wife Michelle of West; a daughter Caitlin Vrana of Waco; two brothers, Robert Jares and wife Tammie and David Jares and wife Mandy; two sisters, Laura Glatter and husband Carl and Ginger Kendrick and husband Billy; a granddaughter, Kadence; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Rest Haven Relief Fund.
