Teresa Ann Holy

Teresa Ann Holy, age 82, of West, passed away early Saturday evening, November 8, 2014 at her residence. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Paul Hudson as celebrant, assisted by Deacon Vincent Mrasek. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Teresa was born February 6, 1932 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the daughter of John and Frances (Novotny) Mrasek. She attended and graduated from Chickasha Catholic High School. On June 5, 1950 she was united in marriage to Charles J. Holy in Chickasha. Along side of her husband, she operated the family farm and was the bookkeeper for Bold Springs Water Supply for over 36 years. Teresa was a very faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was also a member of the K.J.Z.T. St. Ludmila Society and sang in the P.T.C. Choir. Teresa enjoyed playing 42, Polka and Waltz dancing, oil painting, working puzzles, playing cards, traveling and collecting plates. She especially loved spending time with her family. Teresa is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jason Holy; and a sister, Agnes Voegeli. Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, Charles Holy Sr. of West; sons, Charles Holy Jr. and wife Ruth of Iota, Louisiana and Richard Holy and wife Patricia of West; daughters, Veronica "Bunny" Felderhoff and husband Chuck and Christine Filer and husband Larry Joe, Sr., all of West; brother, Deacon Vincent Mrasek and wife Judi; sisters, Mary Ingle and Margaret Pierson and husband Bob; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; a great great grandson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are her grandsons, James Brown, Larry Joe Filer, Jr. Kevin Joe Filer, Dennis Holy, Jonathan Holy and Gregory Holy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Rest Haven Disaster Relief Fund.
