Tamzinna "Janie" Bannert, age 72, of West, passed away early Thursday morning, March 25, 2021 at her residence. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Minister Ernie Albrecht officiating. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are encouraged at all services. Janie was born August 24, 1948 in San Angelo, Texas the daughter of Max and Marcille (Dunn) Eckert. She attended schools in San Angelo. On October 1, 2005 she was united in marriage to Jim Bannert in West. Jim preceded her in death. She worked as a hairdresser for several Waco area Salon's and at EMSI Call Center in Hewitt. Janie enjoyed crocheting, reading her Bible, watching westerns, having her morning coffee, gardening, cooking and baking. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Janie is also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Michael Eckert; and a sister, Joyce Eckert. Survivors include her children, Joanna Smith and husband Greg of Rockwall, Tamzinna Sutterfield and husband Michael of West, and Elton Marsh of West; the father of her children, Earnest Marsh; two brothers, John Howell and Frank Eckert; two sisters, Peggy Ann Miller and Carolyn Hopson; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Hacker and husband Matthew, Emily Smith, Briana Blackwell and husband Rick, Jailynn Marsh, Hailey Jones, Cristina Marsh, Elton Marsh Jr. and wife Brittnay, and Gracelynn Marsh; her great-grandchildren, Tori, Marvin, Samuel, Ty, Kayden, and Mallory; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
