Suzanne Young Herbert

Suzanne Y. Herbert, age 76, of Valley Mills, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at her residence. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Waco, with Rev. Aaron Zimmerman officiating. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Suzanne was born August 2, 1939 in Washington, DC the daughter of Russell and Mary (Cantrell) Young. She graduated from Waco High School in 1958 and received a degree in Fashion Design from North Texas State University in 1996. On February 28, 1959, she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Herbert. Robert preceded her in death on February 17, 2013. Suzanne was a homemaker and a water instructor. She was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Waco. Suzanne enjoyed sewing, painting and collecting antiques. Survivors include her children, Russell Herbert of Noel, MO, Leigh Crawshaw and husband Bill of West and Christopher Herbert and wife Virginia of Georgetown; grandchildren, Geoffrey Herbert and wife Joleen, Paul Herbert and wife Sarah, Crystal McIntosh and husband Corey, Alexandria Malboeuf and husband Cody, Adam Crawshaw and wife Lauren, Austin Crawshaw, Jacob Crawshaw, Addison Herbert, Kaden Herbert and Ainsley Herbert; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
