Suzanne Barajas

Suzanne (Womack) Barajas, age 51, of Waco, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Gholson with Rev. James Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery near Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Suzy was born on November 16, 1957 in Austin, the daughter of Rob Lee and Coranell (Frederick) Womack. She attended schools in Austin and Gholson before graduating from West High School in 1975. On August 24, 1989, she was united in marriage to Willie Joe Barajas in Dallas. Suzy worked for several businesses throughout her career. She enjoyed playing the piano, crafts, reading, collecting angels, and taking care of her dogs. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gholson. Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Willie Barajas of Waco; her parents, Rob Lee and Coranell Womack of Gholson; two daughters, Shanna Michelle Buzbee of Keller and Shari Rochelle Page and husband Tim of China Spring; a step-son, Philip D. Barajas of Tyler; a step-daughter, Amber Barajas in the US Navy; two brothers, Rob Lee Womack, Jr. and wife Lisa of Bermuda and Andrew Glenn Womack and wife Charmianne of Red Oak; three grandchildren, Jason Dale and Jasmine Desiree Phillips and Rylee Jane Page; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Gholson Building Fund or Fuzzy Friends.
