Born on August 3, 1955, in Paris, Texas, to Genevieve and Henry King, Susan was a radiant spirit whose kindness and compassion touched countless lives. She graduated from Paris High School in 1973 and attended the University of North Texas in Denton. On March 18, 1978, Susan married the love of her life, Michael Andrew Kocian. Their profound bond lasted 44 beautiful years, marked by unwavering love and shared faith. Together, they built a remarkable life, creating successful businesses while raising their family in Corpus Christi, Texas. Their entrepreneurial journey demonstrated not only their dedication and hard work but also their extraordinary partnership built on love and shared dreams. Susan and Michael raised three daughters-Laura, Leslie, and Lisa-who carry forward the values and love instilled in them by their devoted parents. She was also a proud grandmother to four cherished grandchildren, Luke, Katelyn, Addison, and Ella, who brought her immense joy and purpose. Her heart ached with the passing of one grandchild in December 2023, but through this trial, she remained steadfast in her faith, drawing strength from her belief in God and the love of her family.

A woman of deep faith, Susan found strength and solace in her relationship with God. Her devotion was evident in every aspect of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. She was a dedicated member of St. Andrew by the Sea Catholic Church, where she actively participated in the community and nurtured her spiritual growth.

Susan's home was a gathering place where warmth and joy were always present. She created beautiful memories through holiday celebrations, family dinners, and countless moments of togetherness. Her infectious smile and compassionate spirit made her a beloved figure in her community. She was a genuine friend to many, always ready to lend a listening ear or offer words of encouragement.

Susan is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Kocian; her parents, Genevieve and Henry King; her brothers, Jack E Davenport, John D Davenport, Joe T Davenport, and Billie D Davenport; and her grandson, Luke.

She is survived by her three daughters, Laura Rogers, Leslie (Trevor) Groom, and Lisa Kocian; her three grandchildren, Katelyn Kocian, Addison Groom, and Ella Groom; and her brother, Robert D (JaNae) Davenport.

Susan Loraine Kocian will be forever remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for her family, and her light. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved Michael, watching over her family with love from above.
