Sue Rhine, age 95, of Whitney, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 8, 2014 in Round Rock, Texas. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Minister Andrew Bell officiating. Sue will lie in state from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Sue was born May 9, 1918 Decatur, the daughter of Thomas and Grace (Arnett) Rhine. She attended school in Olney. Sue was a real estate broker and also managed apartment complexes in the Ft. Worth, Irving, and Dallas areas until her retirement in 1978. She also managed the Western Ways Motel in Lubbock. Sue attended the First Church of the Nazarene and the Church of Christ in Whitney. She enjoyed reading her Bible, spending time with her church family, boating and loved to play golf. Sue was known as "Granny" to all her family and will be truly missed. Sue is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Glenda "June" Taylor and Jodie Harris; two brothers, Bruce Rhine and Barney Rhine; and a sister, Margaret Rhine. Survivors include, a son-in-law, Wayne Taylor of Denton; four grandchildren, Dean Harris and wife Kay, Cory Harris and wife Tina, Gina Cone and husband Jason and Lisa Greenhill and husband Lynn; seven great-grandchildren, Kasey, Sophie, Taylor, Sawyer, Dustin, Annie and Milan; several nieces nephew other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice of Whitney and Park Plaza Nursing Home for their compassionate and loving care of Sue in her last years.
