Sue Hanzlik Beale

Sue (Hanzlik) Beale, age 62, of Houston, formerly of West and Temple, passed away Friday morning, March 15, 2013 in Houston. Memorial Graveside Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Sue was born June 14, 1950 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Edward Hanzlik, and A.C. "Bill" and Peggy (Sutton) Harris. She graduated from West High School in 1968 and received her nursing degree from McLennan Community College. She worked for Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco and Scott & White Hospital in Temple, as a surgical nurse for over 30 years. Sue was a movie buff and enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, and especially loved spending time with her family. Sue is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sandra Bleak. Survivors include two sons, Matthew McKinney and wife Katherine of Duncan, OK and Edward Beale and partner Lisa Sibley of Temple; three grandchildren, Ashlea Koepke of Chandler, AZ, and Natalie McKinney and Jacob McKinney, both of Duncan, OK; one nephew, Robert Bleak, Jr.; and several cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott & White Hospital Urology Department Education Fund.
