Shirley Ann Reed, age 83, of West, passed away late Thursday morning, September 10, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 21, 2020, at First Baptist Church in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Shirley was born November 23, 1936 in Hill County near Aquilla, the daughter of David and Lois (Smith) Johnson. She attended West Elementary School and graduated from West High School. On June 10, 1955, she was united in marriage to Jesse Reed in West. Jesse preceded her in death on March 29, 2006. Shirley was a homemaker and Mother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in West. Shirley enjoyed cooking, baking, coloring pictures, listening to music and drinking her coffee. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Shirley is also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Terry Reed and Ronnie Keith Reed; a brother, Jamie Johnson; her sisters, Joyce Hummell, Helon Sullins, and Jonnie Ayers; a sister-in-law, Lola Coker; and a granddaughter, Caitlyn Goates. Survivors include her children, Peggy Loser and husband Ferman of Ft. Worth and Michael Reed and wife Kim of West; a brother, Gary Johnson and wife Ella; a brother-in-law, Delmer Sullins; a sister-in-law, Tracy Ann Ernst and husband Bob; her beloved grandchildren, Emilie Haebe and husband Phillip, Keith Reed and wife Leah, Jarrett Reed and wife Jessica, Cory Loser and wife Christina, Lindsay Garman and husband John, Jennifer Sembera and husband Jason, and Joey Jaska; her great grandchildren, Ian, Owen, Daniel, Zane, Mavity, Texas, Addelynn and Jase; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Volunteer Ambulance Association .
