Sherry Lynn Jackson, age 51, of Denison, formerly of Waco, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano. A wake was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the Hebron Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Bells. Graveside services were held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Aquilla, with Rev. Rex Bland officiating. Sherry was born September 3, 1958 in Waco. She was currently working at Ruiz Foods in Denison. Sherry loved life and it showed in her smile, her laugh, her positive outlook on life and her compassion for others. She was always ready and eager to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it, including letting people stay in her home when they had no home of their own, even in times when she was struggling herself. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, her family, friends, fishing and watching a good movie with a bowl of popcorn. She had a fabulous memory and could recite a book or a movie word for word years after reading it or seeing it. As a child, she won several awards in track and other sports and was always at the top of her class in academics. She was very creative and enjoyed crafts. She will be forever in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles (Ed) Stanley, and brother Ricky Trail. Sherry is survived by her husband, Mike Jackson of Denison; sons, Jack Morton Jr. and wife, Lisa of West, Eddie Morton of Robinson, and Richard Morton of West; mother, Dorothy Roushey of Denison; stepmother, Delores Stanley of Bells; brothers, Troy Stanley and wife, Merica Stanley of Pottsboro, Wesley Matus and wife, Debbie of Waco, Bill Kettrey and wife, Stacy of Peoria, Arizona, Mark Kettrey and wife, Kelli of Waco, Eddie Stanley and wife, Laura of Bells; sisters, Beverly Bearden and husband, Jay of Pottsboro, Carla Belcher and husband, Tony of Kenefic, Oklahoma, Christie Glidewell and husband, Garth of Bells; six grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Aderhold Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
