Sheila Nors

Sheila Marie (Vohl) Nors, age 78, of West, passed away Thursday morning, January 9, 2025 at Providence Health Center in Waco.

Private funeral services will be held at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Deacon Robin Waters officiating. Sheila will lie-in-state Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sheila was born April 28, 1946 in Waco, the daughter of Lawrence and Angeline (Berger) Vohl. She attended schools in Tours and West before graduating in 1964 from West High School. On June 20, 1964 she was united in marriage to Bennie Nors in Tours. Bennie preceded her in death on November 17, 2023. Sheila was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. She was a homemaker, Mother, and worked in the dietary department for West Rest Haven and the West Independent School District for many years. Sheila enjoyed baking, doing puzzles, and helping Bennie make sausage. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Sheila is also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Benji Jr., David, Charles, and Dawin Nors; a granddaughter, Reagan Cook; and brothers-in-law, Johnny Roznovsky and Harry Gene Nors.

Survivors include her children, Phillis Chupik and husband Kevin of West, Lisa Renegar and husband Brian of West, Raymond Nors and wife Jana of Abbott, Annette Cook of Abbott, Patricia Schneider and husband Gary of Aquilla, Stephen Nors and wife Leslie of West, Laurie Brown and husband Billy of Abbott; and Kenneth Nors and wife Jana of West; 20 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Mark Vohl and wife Dorothy; sisters-in-law, Angeline Roznovsky and husband Frank, Betty Jo Marley and husband Charlie, and Netty Jo Nors; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Joshua Nors, Nathan Chupik, Zachary Schneider, Brandan Brown, Hayden Nors, Hayze Nors, Maxx Matus, and Eugene Miller Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Marshall Nors, Wagner Nors, and Tyler Kocurek.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Martin Cemetery Association.
