Shanna Michelle Buzbee

Shanna Michelle Buzbee, age 36, of Gholson, passed away early Sunday morning, December 26, 2010 in Ft. Worth. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Gholson, with Rev. James Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery near Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Shanna was born on January 28, 1974 in West, the daughter of Joe L. Buzbee and Pamela Suzanne (Womack) Barajas. She attended Gholson and West Schools and received an Associate Degree from TSTC in computer networking. Shanna enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and especially loved spending time with family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gholson. Shanna is preceded in death by her mother, Suzanne (Womack) Barajas; her paternal grandmother, Viola Buzbee; and a second cousin, Kynadi Buzbee. Survivors include her father, Joe Buzbee and wife Cindi of Gholson; a son and daughter, Jason Dale and Jasmine Desiree Phillips of Ft. Worth; her paternal grandfather, J. W. Buzbee of Gholson; her maternal grandparents, Rob and Coranell Womack of Gholson; her fianc, Hank Biggers of Waco; two sisters, Shari Rochelle Page and husband Timothy of China Spring and Roxann Buzbee of Waco; two nieces, Rylee Jane and Taylor Page; a step brother, Shawn Fate and wife Nicole; a step sister, Charity Fate; her uncles, Rob Lee Womack and wife Lisa of Bermuda, Andrew Womack of Plano, James Buzbee and wife Jana of Aquilla, Tommy Buzbee and wife Peggy and Terry Buzbee and wife Sonja, all of Gholson; her aunts, Leona Saunders of Gholson and Linda Lewis and husband Charles of Lorena; and several other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Tommy Buzbee, James Buzbee, Andrew Womack, Timothy Page, Shawn Fate, and Greg Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Gholson or Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
