Sandra Scheler

Sandra Sue (Millsap) Scheler, age 79, of Leroy, passed away early Saturday morning, October 5, 2024 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Pastor Eddie Scheler officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald Cemetery near Leroy. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Sandra was born on January 31, 1945, in Gatesville, Texas, to Clay and Essie (Autrey) Millsap. She attended Waco High School and later graduated from Waco Beauty College in 1962. In 1998, she returned to McLennan Community College to earn an Associate's Degree in Business. On July 14, 1962, she married Eddie Ray Scheler Sr. in Bellmead. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead and a passionate prayer warrior. She owned and operated Sandra's Beauty Den in Elm Mott for 25 years. Sandra also worked as an inspector for the State of Texas Cosmetology Board for 12 years, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed attending horse races, tending to her flower beds, and playing games. Sandra relished good meals at Red Lobster and trips to casinos in Oklahoma and Shreveport, Louisiana. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, whom she loved to spoil.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Millsap.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Eddie Ray Scheler Sr. of Leroy; her children, Eddie Ray Scheler Jr. and wife Trish of Cleburne, and Tracie Warren and husband Jim Bo of Leroy; her granddaughters, Christa Jirapong and husband Ryan, Samantha Scheler, Rachel Campbell and husband Ian, and Tristan Rawls and husband Jesse; a great grandchild, Phoebe and 2 more on the way; a sister, Terry Dodd; her nephew, Rowdy Dodd; and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Rowdy Dodd, Jesse Rawls, Ryan Jirapong, Ian Campbell, Eddie Scheler Jr., and Jim Bo Warren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ascension Lutheran Church Building Fund in Cleburne.
