Samantha "Sammie" Jo Kapavik, age 26, of West, passed away late Thursday afternoon, November 1, 2012 at Providence Health Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Sammie was born June 18, 1986 in Waco, the daughter of Elizabeth Lois Wilson and William H. Kapavik . She attended St. Mary's School in West and was a 2004 graduate of Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. Sammie was a fashion designer for the Fashion Artillery and loved designing new clothes and looking at new lines. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Sammie enjoyed fast cars, riding horses, and showing walking horses. Survivors include her parents, Will Kapavik and wife Candace of West and Lisa Kapavik of Bell Buckle, Tennessee; a brother, Will David Kapavik and wife Tiffany of West; two sisters, Audra Denniston and husband Boyd and Marisa Kapavik, all of West; nephews, Boyd, Hayden, Cole and Greyson; aunts, Camille Thomas and husband Don, Cameron Laimore and husband Ron, and Linda Kapavik; uncles, Henry C. Wilson III, David Kapavik and wife Janet, and Monty Kapavik and wife Tina; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Ray Bryant, Scott Peterson, Darryn Kapavik, Juan Ramon Hernandez, Henry C. Wilson III, and Rick Adams. Sammie loved flowers, but if you would like to donate to her favorite charity, it is Helping a Hero.
