Ruth Mildred Farr

Ruth Mildred Farr, of West, passed away Friday, October 14, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the West Church of Christ, with Ministers Bob Martin and Sam Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Miss Farr was born October 9, 1914 in Granger, the daughter of Thomas and Laura (Anderson) Farr. At an early age her family moved to West where she and her brothers and sisters attended school. Mildred was a self-employed seamstress for most of her working life. She enjoyed shopping and loved to visit and talk with family and friends. She was a lifelong and active member of the West Church of Christ where she worked in the nursery for many years. Her parents; two brothers, William Farr and Wayne Farr; and a sister, Myrtis Farr; all preceded Mildred in death. Survivors include one sister, Laurie Farr of West; and many cousins, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are James "Shorty" Harkins, Edward Lee Stacy, Bruce Huffhines, Don Adair, Lee Fisher, Tom Kissinger, Frankie Marek, and Joe Edd Grimm. Memorials may be made to West Church of Christ.
