Ruby Holder

Ruby "Spookie" Holder, age 75, of West, passed away late Friday afternoon, September 15, 2017 at her residence. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Dr. Craig Klempnauer officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Ruby was born October 31, 1941 in Oglesby, the daughter of James and Sarah (Ashby) Green. She attended school at South Waco Elementary and Waco Junior and Senior High Schools. On May 23, 1959 she was united in marriage to Vernon Holder in Waco. Vernon preceded her in death on June 12, 2014. Ruby was a Mother and homemaker. She enjoyed arts and crafts and working at the Heart Of Texas Fair and Rodeo. Ruby is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Holder; great grandchildren, Heather Holder, Austin and Kinzie Fontenot and Kaysiee LaDelories Lucko; a granddaughter-in-law, Brandee Fontenot; and a brother, Jimmie Green. Survivors include her children, Vernon "Butch" Holder Jr. of Elm Mott, Dena Holder of China Spring, Vickie George and husband Kenny of Hillsboro, James Holder and wife Teresa of China Spring and Charly Littlejohn and husband Steve of Tokio; stepsons, Clay Holder and wife Jenna, Allen Chadwick, David Chadwick and Robert Chadwick; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Holder; a sister, Edna Reed; her dog, Tinker Bell; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the family to help with final expenses.
