Ruben Rodriguez Nino

Ruben Rodriguez Nino, age 56, of Elm Mott, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 29, 2013 at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Ruben was born February 11, 1957 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico the son of Jesus and Esperanza (Nino) Rodriguez. He attended schools in Mexico and has lived in the Elm Mott area for over 30 years. Ruben was a heavy machine mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, working on big trucks, fishing, and being outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Ruben is preceded in death by a daughter, Blanca Griselda; a granddaughter, Celene Nino; and a brother, Roberto Nino. Survivors include two sons, Ruben Nino and wife Zoila of San Antonio and Juan Carlos Nino and wife Eugenia of Mexico; two daughters, Martha Chapa and husband Robert and Rebecca Nino, all of San Antonio; his parents, Jesus and Esperanza Nino Rodriguez; a special friend, Liz Hejl; four brothers, Geradro Nino and wife Louisa, Gustavo Nino and wife Fabiola, Jesus Nino and wife Juanita and Gumaro Nino and wife Angeles; sisters, Rosa Nino, Maria Jesus Nino, Amparo Nino and Gloria Nino and husband Amado; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Elm Mott Volunteer Fire Department.
