Rosilee Bartosh

Rosilee Bartosh, age 90, of Abbott, passed away early Saturday afternoon, February 15, 2020 at Providence Hospital in Waco surrounded by her children. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church in Abbott, with Rev. Brijil Lawrence as celebrant. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Pavelka Cemetery near Elk. Rosilee was born September 24, 1929 in Axtell, the daughter of Adolf and Minnie (Pavelka) Kubitza. She was a 1947 graduate of Axtell High School. On July 29, 1952 she was united in marriage to John Bartosh in Waco. John preceded her in death on April 9, 1973. Rosilee was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. She was also a member of the SPJST Lodge#35 in Elk. She worked for Abbott Independent School District for over 20 years before retiring in 1999. Rosilee enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and made all her children's clothes when they were growing up. She always cooked a meal on Sunday so her children and grandchildren could come by to eat and visit. Rosilee was known to decorate for all the seasons, especially for Valentine's Day. She loved her Redbirds and Bluebonnets. Rosilee is also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Frank Kubitza, Robert A. Kubitza, and Fred Kubitza. Survivors include her children, Peggy Dobecka and husband Robert of Chalk Bluff, Pam Lenart and husband Dennis of Chalk Bluff, Larry Bartosh and wife Karen of Abbott, David Bartosh and wife Vickey of Abbott, Annette Prnka and husband Edwin of West, Kathy Pavelka and husband William Jr. of Summerfield, NC, and Dennis Bartosh and wife Carmen of Whitney; her grandchildren, Kevin Dobecka and wife Tory, Tammi Charanza, Traci Morrison and husband Michael, Sherri Fanning and husband John, Dana Baer and husband Marti, Laura Fetsch and husband Adam, Christopher Lenart and wife Catherine, Jamie Cabrera and husband Carlos, James Bartosh, John Bartosh and wife Hailey, Michael Bartosh and wife Erin, Jeremy Prnka and wife Justyn, Jennifer Prnka, Drake Pavelka, Dylan Bartosh and wife Rebekah, Daylon Bartosh, and Kynlee Bartosh; a step-grandson, Mitchell Griesenbeck; great grandchildren, Rendon Dobecka, Quinlan Dobecka, Carter Charanza, Knox Morrison, Megan Engeldinger, Sarah Fanning, Colby Fanning, Dalton Baer, Austin Baer, Michigan Fetsch, A.J. Fetsch, Anna Fetsch, HattieFaith Fetsch, Caroline Fetsch, Sebastian Cabrera, Jackson Bartosh, David Bartosh, and Dayton Bartosh; a great-great-granddaughter, Emma Engeldinger; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Legacy Campaign.
