Rosie Lee Eastwood

November 10, 1931 — August 13, 2024

Rosie "Mamaw" Eastwood, age 92, of Gholson, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 13, 2024 at West Rest Haven.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Rosie was born November 10, 1931 near West, the daughter of Lee and Rosie (Slovak) Kyselka. She attended Tokio and West schools. On September 9, 1948 she was united in marriage to James Eastwood in Waco. James preceded her in death on January 8, 2012. Rosie was a dedicated member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Gholson. She worked alongside her husband farming for many years. Rosie enjoyed camping, fishing, raising watermelons, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Not only did her family lovingly refer to her as Mamaw, but most who knew her gave her that title as well, as she was known in Gholson as Mamaw to everyone.

Rosie is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Randy Eastwood; brothers, Willie Kyselka, Herman Kyselka, Joe Kyselka and Edwin Henry Kyselka; and sisters, Christine Wyringer, and Eileen E. Evanich.

Survivors include two sons, Glenn Eastwood and wife Janie of Gholson, and Nicky Jo Eastwood and wife Janice of Gholson; a sister, Marlene Wilkinson; grandchildren, Brandy Janek and husband Mark, Shawn Eastwood and wife Jenni, Dana Eastwood, Tracy Matus and husband John Paul, Candace Rike, and Courtney Breitkreutz and husband Josh; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends in Waco or a charity of your choice.
