Rosemary Srubar, age 97, of West, passed away Thursday evening, January 9, 2025 at West Rest Haven in West.
A rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Rosemary was born July 10, 1927 in West, the daughter of Henry and Marie (Klimek) Hromadka. She attended St. Mary's School and West High School. On September 27, 1948 she was united in marriage to Roman F. Srubar in West. Roman preceded her in death on September 28, 2001. Rosemary was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was a Mother and homemaker. Rosemary enjoyed tending to her flowers, doing embroidery work, and collecting Angels, of which she had over 200. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was known as a caring and kind person.
Rosemary is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Srubar; and a brother, William "Bill" Hromadka.
Survivors include her children, Susan Groholski and husband Dennis of Bremond, and Pat Srubar and wife Vicki of Elm Mott; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Rose Hromadka of West; and many God children, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Albert Srubar Jr, James Srubar, Bill Hromadka, David Scott, Dennis Groholski and Chris Kofnovec.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Association.
