Rose Ann Kaska, age 73, a lifelong resident of Abbott, passed away early Sunday afternoon, December 26, 2021 at her residence. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, with Rev. Brijil Lawrence as celebrant. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott. Rose Ann was born August 25, 1948 in Waco, the daughter of Henry and Willie Mae (Matus) Pustejovsky. She attended school in Abbott was a 1966 graduate of Abbott High School. She went to receive an associate degree from Hill Junior College. On April 15, 1967 she was united in marriage to Ron Kaska in Abbott. Rose Ann was a faithful member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was also a member of KJZT Society #104. Rose Ann was an administrative assistant for Hill College for 32 years before retiring in 2020. She enjoyed taking trips to the casinos and watching her favorite television programs. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Rose Ann is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Monica Pustejovsky; a sister-in-law, Linda Pustejovsky; and parents-in-law, Steve and Katie Kaska. Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, Ron Kaska of Abbott; her children, Ryan Kaska and his wife Aprille, Ronda Kaska, and Roger Kaska and his wife Julie, all of Abbott; brothers, Pat Pustejovsky and Billy Pustejovsky and his wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Tamara Pustejovsky; grandchildren, Kyndall Kaska, Michael Kaska and his girlfriend Haley Powers, Ashley Ballew, Morgan Gerik and her husband Denton, Karli Kempson and her boyfriend Joey Espinol, and Taylor Smith and her boyfriend Chris Ramirez; a great-granddaughter on the way; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Craig Pustejovsky, Scott Pustejovsky, Dustin Middlebrook, Phil Sustala, Chris Ziegler, Michael Cervantez, Michael Young, Larry Filer Jr., Chris Brown, and Neil Abney. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abbott Community Improvement Organization or Community Hospice of Texas.
