Rosalie M. Mynarcik, age 81, of West, passed away late Thursday night, April 29, 2010 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow until 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Anthony Odiong as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Mynarcik was born January 27, 1929 in West, the daughter of John Edward and Adele (Marek) Petter. She attended the Brooken School and graduated from Abbott High School in 1947. On January 27, 1948 she was united in marriage to Leo A. Mynarcik in Abbott. They moved to Dallas to work and raise their family. Rosalie was a homemaker and worked in the cafeteria for the Dallas Independent School District for over 25 years until retiring in 1995. Upon their retirement they returned to West. Rosalie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She was also a member of the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge #54 and K.J.Z.T. St. Ludmila Society No. 11 in West. Rosalie enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, listening to Czech music, and embroidering. She especially loved spending time with her family and keeping them all "in line". Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Frank Petter. Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Leo A. Mynarcik of West; two sons, George Mynarcik of Houston and Tim Mynarcik and wife Linda of Alvord; a daughter, Kathy Hons and husband Don of Mesquite; a sister, Edith Holub of Dallas; three grandchildren, Allison Mynarcik, Jonathan Hons, and Carolyn Tarpley and husband Adam; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Jonathan Hons, Bill Holub Jr., Ben Svrcek, Adam Tarpley, Albin Petter Jr., and Alois Petter. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Mynarcik, Tim Schulte, Tony Petter, John Mynarcik, and Daniel Petter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption Building Fund or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
