Ronnie Mcadams

Ronnie Wayne McAdams, age 65, of Leroy, passed away early Monday afternoon, October 12, 2015 at Lakeshore Village in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Abbe officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at Gerald Cemetery, conducted by the West Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Ronnie was born August 1, 1950 in Waco, the son of David McAdams Sr. and the late Edna Merle (Collier) McAdams. He attended schools in Bosqueville and China Spring. Ronnie served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army. On June 10, 1993 he was united in marriage to Jo Ann Nichols in Whitney. Ronnie was a crew leader for Owens Illinois Glass Plant in Waco for 40 years until his retirement in 2011. He was a member of the Leroy Church. Ronnie enjoyed all outdoor activities, hunting, fishing, camping, raising cattle and picking on friends. He especially loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Survivors include his beloved wife, JoAnn McAdams of Leroy; his father, David H. McAdams Sr. of Waco; a daughter, Patty Lemanski and husband Greg of Chalk Bluff; sons, Corey McAdams of Purmela, Billy Cook and wife Joyce of Frankfort, KY, James Cook and wife Susan and Donny Cook and wife Charlene, all of West and Joe Edward Cook and wife Deanna of Leroy; brothers, David McAdams Jr. and wife Debbie, Jimmy McAdams and wife Pam, Jerry McAdams, Donald McAdams and Tommy McAdams and wife Vickie; 11 grandchildren; a great granddaughter on the way; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Gary Straten, Gary Pack, James Keaton, T. D. McAdams, Chris McAdams, Little Mac McAdams, Chris Knox and Jason Grochowski. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
