Ronnie William Lucien, age 72, of Tours, passed away late Thursday evening, November 9, 2023 at Providence Medical Center in Waco.
A rosary will be recited and Memorial Mass celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2023 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Rev. Will Straten as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours.
Ronnie was born February 21, 1951 in Waco, the son of Robert and Rose (Kasberg) Lucien. He was a 1969 graduate of West High School. On June 28, 1972 he was united in marriage to Mary Polansky in West. Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Ronnie was a faithful member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. He was an Associate Director for Westfest for many years. He worked for McLennan County Precinct 3 for 27 years before retiring in 2000. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, checking his deer cameras, working in his garden, playing the Lottery, and watching Gunsmoke and Law and Order while shelling pecans. He loved spending time with his family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bobi O'Neill.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary Lucien of Tours; two sons, Jason Lucien and wife Kim and Aaron Lucien and wife Jennifer, all of Leroy; his grandchildren, Jason Lucien Jr. and and wife Alison, Dalton Lucien, Macey Lucien Smajstrla and husband Lane, Tucker Lucien, Mabry Lucien, Ryan Radke and wife Miranda, Alyson Radke, and Ayden Cole; his great grandchildren, Paisley, Oaklynn and Gus Lucien and Klay, Khloe, and Kaydence Radke; two brothers, Raymond Lucien and wife Kathy and Richard Lucien and partner Tracey; two sisters, Becky Smetak and husband Mike and Deborah Pustejovsky and husband Ralph; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Active urn bearers are his grandchildren. Honorary urn bearers are his great grandchildren and his friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Martin Cemetery Association or the American Cancer Society.
