Ronald Murdock

Ronald "Ron" Murdock, age 58, of Aquilla, passed away late Sunday evening, January 5, 2014 at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with his brother-in-law, Johnny Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery near Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Ron was born November 27, 1955 in Waco, the son of Richard A. and Bettie J. (Bolfing) Murdock. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Waco and was a 1974 graduate of University High School. On July 27, 2000 he was united in marriage to Linda Kay Williams in Waco. Ron was a truck driver for Sanderson Farms and previously worked for Hill County, the City of Whitney and Providence Hospital. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waco. Ron enjoyed hunting, tending to his cattle, fishing, and riding his Harley. He especially loved spending time on his farm and with his new granddaughter, Lindly who was the light of his life. Ron is preceded in death by father, Richard A. Murdock. Survivors include his beloved wife of 13 years, Linda Murdock of Aquilla; his mother, Bettie Murdock of Waco; a daughter, Kim Rynders and husband Dustin of Waco; sisters, Stephanie Boen and husband Ken and Connie Rhodes and husband Johnny; a granddaughter, Lindly Rynders; nieces, Ashlea Boen, Kayla Hahn and husband Jason, and Kenda Bolton; nephews, Korey Boen and wife Jennifer and Coby Rhodes; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Korey Boen, Coby Rhodes, Shawn Fall, Marvin Fletcher, Stephen Murphy and Dustin Rynders. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Heart Association.
