Robert William "Bill" Prikryl II, age 67, passed away Monday afternoon, December 29, 2014 at his residence in McKinney, TX after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Paul Hudson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Bill was born October 26, 1947 in Waco, the son of Robert and Juanita (Gibson) Prikryl. He attended St. Joseph Elementary School in Seguin and was a 1966 graduate of Seguin High School. He received Bachelor's Degree in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of Texas in 1970. Following college, Bill worked for KONO-AM radio in San Antonio and served as general manager of KOLE-AM radio in Port Arthur. He also worked as a consultant and broker of broadcast properties for Bob Hana & Associates and Norm Fischer and Associates. Later in his career, Bill worked as the media director for Triad Business Marketing in Dallas and as a representative for Central Payment of Denver, CO. He was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Plano. Bill enjoyed fishing, bowling (having bowled two perfect 300 games), going to concerts with his daughters, and was an avid UT Longhorn fan and proud alumni. He especially loved spending time with his beloved children and grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Hunter and husband Dylan of Plains and Amy Prikryl of Abilene; a son, Christopher Williams and wife Melissa of El Paso; the mother of his children, Misty; brother, Tom Prikryl and wife Kathy; sister, Susan Golden and husband Steve; grandchildren, Layla, Keagan, Austin, Peyton, and Havyn Raine; nephews, Shawn Golden and Josh Reynolds and wife Amy; niece, Elizabeth Golden; and many other relatives and very close friends. Bill's caring heart and quick humor will be missed by all who knew him. Pallbearers are Dylan Hunter, Ricky Tate, Pete Kabella, Ray Murphy, Fred Ouren and Rick Weber. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Society.
