Robert Mckenzie

Robert McKenzie, age 63, of West, passed away late Thursday afternoon, July 7, 2022 from injuries sustained in an unexpected accident.

Funeral Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Graveside Services will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Coolidge Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday until service time at the church.

Robert was born October 18, 1958 in Pasadena, the son of the late Robert and Mildred (Cayton) McKenzie. He was a 1977 graduate of Galena Park High School. On March 6, 1982 he was united in marriage to Karen McReynolds in Coolidge. Robert was a member of the First Baptist Church in West. He worked for the Methodist Children's Home in Waco for the past 11 years and prior to that for Willis Plumbing for 27 years.  Robert enjoyed hanging out with his dogs, bowling, and visiting with friends. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Karen McKenzie of West; two daughters, Kristy Wagner and husband Ryan of Hewitt and Kelsey McKenzie of Waco; two sisters, Lois Richardson and husband Johnny and Linda Smith; a brother, Billy  McKenzie and wife Jackie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are John Richardson, Ryan Wagner, Keith McReynolds, Kent McReynolds, Larry Little, and Larry Sparks.
