Robert Lykins, age 57, of Waco, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at White Rock Cemetery near Ross, with Rev. Duane Hoxworth officiating. The family will receive visitors from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Lykins was born March 11, 1952 in Waco, the son of Lawrence Edwin and Helen Eunice (Tracey) Lykins. He was a 1970 graduate of West High School and attended McLennan Community College in Waco. He was a photographer and worked for United Church Directories. He traveled and did photography for them in several locations. He loved taking nature pictures of wildflowers and insects, and did some free lance nature photography. He was also a computer programmer and published a computer magazine for a short while. Robert was a good musician and at one time he had played piano for Connally Heights Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Lykins. Survivors include his father, Lawrence Lykins of Waco; his twin brother Robin Lykins and his older brother, Lawrence Lykins, both of Waco; two sisters Lorna Reinhardt and husband Gary of Irving and Helen "Holly" Lykins of Waco; one niece, Talita Lykins; and several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
