Robert John Tobola, age 62, of Elm Mott, went to heaven Thursday evening, January 4, 2018 at Itasca Nursing Facility to reunite with his parents, John and Carrie (Olsovsky) Tobola, who was the apple of their eyes. A rosary will be recited by Larry and Pauline Hoelscher and Funeral Services held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Sarah Miller of Southern Care Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martins Cemetery in Tours. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Robert was born June 29, 1955 in Waco and attended school at West Elementary, Ross Elementary and West High School. Robert worked as a machinist for Sanderson Farms in Waco and also for Randy Horton. He was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church in Tours. Robert enjoyed fishing, racing, gardening and taking care of his chickens. Survivors include his sisters, Irene Schiemenz and husband Robert of Gholson, Pauline Hoelscher and husband Larry of Westphalia, Eileen Lyster of Waco and Dorene Soukup and husband Alvin of West; Teta Pauline Tankersley; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Bert Hargrove, Andy Soukup, Michael Kostecka, Bobby Kostecka, Albert Gene Olsovsky and Jimmy Price. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Church of West Building Fund. The family wishes to thank his many caregivers for their excellent care.
