Robert E Mach

Robert E. Mach, age 82, of Mart, passed away early Monday morning, July 26, 2021 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021 at St. Martin's Catholic Church, with Rev. Walter Dhanwar as celebrant. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott. Robert was born April 11, 1939 in Penelope, the son of Joe and Mary (Helona) Mach. He attended schools in Penelope and was a graduate of Abbott High School. Robert served his country with the United States Air Force Reserves. On April 20, 1963 he was united in marriage to Annie Polansky in West. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk. Robert was also a member of the Texas Farm Bureau and K.J.T. Society #107 in Abbott. He was a lifelong farmer. Robert enjoyed watching football and riding around in the country looking at the different farms. Farming and working God's earth were something that he took great pride in doing. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe F. and Michael Mach; and infant twins, Joseph and Mary Mach. Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Annie Mach of Mart; his children, Ann Poteet and husband Billy of Axtell, Robert J. Mach and wife Shellie of Robinson, Carol Thomas and husband Paul of Waco, Diane Kelly and husband Brian of Spring, Paul Mach and wife Azure of Crawford, and Gail Zucha and husband Heath of West; a brother, Milford Mach; a sister, Nancy Shaffer and husband David; a sister-in-law, Lillian Mach; his grandchildren, Erin McSpadden and husband Tyrel, Amy D'Urso and husband Stephan, Samuel Mach, Jeffrey Thomas, Justin Thomas, Alaina Kelly, Reese Kelly, Kyla Mach, Zane Mach, Audrey Zucha, and Hayden Zucha; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fatima Cemetery Association or the charity of your choice.
