Rev. William H. "Bill" Warren, age 97, of Fort Worth, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior early Saturday afternoon, November 7, 2020 at his residence. Private graveside services for family will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Ft. Worth, with his sons, John Warren and Jack Warren officiating. Click for the LIVE STREAM Bill was born September 26, 1923 in Slaton, Texas near Lubbock, the son of Mona (Williams) and Burney Warren Sr. He was a graduate of Meridian High School and attended Texas Wesleyan University for a short time before entering the United States Army during World War II. On June 19, 1946 he was united in marriage to Lola Robinson in Ft. Worth. Bill then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hardin Simmons University in 1951 and a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary in 1955. He served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a Missionary spending many years in Brazil. Bill also served as the pastor of many churches in Texas including Southwayside Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Calvary Baptist Church in Idaho Falls, ID and the First Baptist Church in West. Witnessing for Christ and spending time with family was what Bill loved most in life. He also enjoyed playing golf. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Captain William H. Warren Jr.; a great granddaughter, Hannah Faith Russell; a son-in-law, Kurt Parr; brothers, Burney Warren Jr. and Charles Warren; and a sister, Jonnie Payne. Survivors include his beloved wife of 75 years, Lola Warren of Fort Worth; his children, Jack Warren and wife Beverly of Ft. Worth and John Warren and wife Cathi of Bella Vista, AR, and Mimi Parr, and Jaynanne Brown and husband Steve, all of Ft. Worth; a daughter-in-law, Julie Warren Cook and husband Sam of Ft. Worth; his sisters, Betty Alexander, Patsy Clifford, Peggy Brantley, and Linda McDowell and husband Neal; a sister-in-law, Joyce Warren; his grandchildren, Michelle Bell and husband Brian, Heidi Jansen and husband Mark, Jonathan Cook and wife Cierra, Ashely Cook, Angie Haire and husband Alan, Jarrett Warren and wife Crystal, Allison Turner and husband Brett, Christopher Parr, Matthew Parr and Sara, Steven Brown, Cody Brown and wife Lacy, Holly Ritchey and husband Michael, Aubrey Russell and husband Dirk, Kristen Slaughter and husband Dave, Annie Welty and husband Caleb, CJ Longenbaugh and husband Tony, Nathan Warren and wife Cheyenne, Bethany Warren, Shelly White and husband Chris, John Caleb Warren, and Timothy Warren and wife Annika; great grandchildren, Abigail, William, Brooks, Maddox, Gates, Shepard, Larkin, Jonathan, David, Joshua, Isaac, Abigail, Samuel, Molly, Warren, Henry, Carrie, William, Donovan, Erin, Judah, Savannah, Silas, Charlie, Ava, Jack, Bram, Gregory, Miles, Elsie, Amos, Levi, Lola, Harley, Lucy, Jax, Asher, Harlow, Bella, Violet, Bailey, Hayden, Peyton, Hutton, Mackinley, Meredith, Landon, Carden, Bennett, Addison, Jonah, and David; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
