Reta Jean Woodruff

Reta Woodruff, age 81, of Aquilla, passed away late Sunday afternoon, August 30, 2015 at Town Hall Estates in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Vaughan Cemetery near Aquilla, with Minister Glenn Gray officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Reta was born October 5, 1933 in near Aquilla, the daughter of Roy and Dinkie Lucy (Vanderford) Gardner. She was a 1951 graduate of Aquilla High School. On March 27, 1954 Reta was united in marriage to Thomas P. Woodruff in Tokio. Thomas preceded her in death on March 10, 2007. She worked as a seamstress for Lorch Manufacturing in West, Malouf Manufacturing in Hillsboro and Sprayberry Manufacturing in Whitney. Reta also worked for Town Square Furniture in Hillsboro. She was a very faithful member of Aquilla Church of Christ. Reta is also preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Steve Hall. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Kay Hall of Temple and several cousins, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aquilla Volunteer Fire Department.
