Raymond Kneblik

Raymond Kneblik, age 79, of Frost, passed away Friday afternoon, November 7, 2008 at West Rest Haven in West. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Kneblik was born August 2, 1929 in Temple, the son of Paul William and Frances (Kovar) Kneblik. He attended schools in Temple and graduated from Temple High School in 1946. He then received a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas in Austin in 1966. Raymond served his country with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On October 26, 1957 he was united in marriage to Evelyn Kubacek in Taylor. Raymond worked as a mechanical engineer for Rockwall International in Richardson for over 30 years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 47 in Seaton. Raymond enjoyed farming, hunting, working on his tractor, raising cattle, and listening to polka music. He also loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. His parents; three brothers, Clarence Kneblik, Leroy Kneblik, and Ted Kneblik; and a sister, Lillye Mae Malcik preceded him in death. Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, Evelyn Kneblik of Frost; a son Steve Kneblik and wife Cheryl of Keller; a sister-in-law, Dolores Kneblik of Houston; two granddaughters, Cassandra and Caitlin Kneblik; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Active pallbearers are J.W. Ballard, Claude Brewer, Doug Buchanan, Park Murchison, Cody Yarborough and Jim Noel. Honorary pallbearers are Alfred Martin and Howard Nethertan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
