Randell Moody Glenn, age 54, of Whitney, passed away late Sunday evening, September 12, 2010 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Penelope Cemetery, with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Randell was born March 7, 1956 in New Orleans, the son of Moody and Jearline (Stepp) Glenn. He attended schools in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1974 before attending Hill College. He was the owner and operator of Randell Glenn Trucking for several years and was currently employed by D. L. Williams Trucking. Randell loved the outdoors, especially hunting, camping and fishing. He was well known as a handy man and enjoyed taking care of his property and repairing things. Randell was a member of American Legion Post No. 478 and S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 54 in West. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Glenn. Survivors include his beloved dog, Barney Ray; two sons, Wayne Seely and wife Laura and Dustin Seely and wife Amber, all of Whitney; a daughter, Nikki Mikeska and husband Kevin of Hillsboro; a sister, Beverly Glenn of Waco; two aunts, Durine Otwell of Woodway and Ouida Bradshaw of Longview; six grandchildren, Hailey and Nathan Mikeska, Kynnadi and Madison Seely, and Makenzie and Mason Seely; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends, including Kenny Tarbett. Pallbearers are Mike Riley, Johnny Neagle, Kenny Tarbett, Edward Girard, Tim Higginbotham, and Lynn Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hill County Paw Pals, P. O. Box 1533, Hillsboro, Texas 76645.
