Pauline Virginia (Morgan) Etter, age 90, of Abbott, passed away early Thursday morning, November 7, 2024 at West Rest Haven in West.
Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro, with Pastor Jeremy Beggs officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West.
Pauline was born February 23, 1934, in Abbott, Texas, the daughter of Benjamin C. and Blanche (Bruce) Morgan. She was a proud 1951 graduate of Abbott High School and later married Livy Barnes Etter on September 23, 1955, in Waco. Together, they shared a lifetime of love and memories, which included helping her husband on the family farm. A long-time member of the Lebanon Church near Aquilla, Pauline was deeply rooted in her faith and community. She worked as a bookkeeper for the 1st National Bank in Whitney for over 35 years before retiring. Prior to her banking career, Pauline contributed her skills at Family Diagnostics Clinic and Grant-Buie Hospital in Hillsboro. Pauline had a variety of hobbies and passions that reflected her nurturing spirit and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed collecting dolls and figurines, sewing, cooking, and indulging in sweets. Above all, Pauline loved spending time with her family and friends, and cherished the special moments she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pauline's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Becky Sulak; her brothers, Wendell, Billy, Earl Glenn, Benny, and Donald Morgan; and her sisters, Margie Smith and Mary Mae Russell.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 69 years, Livy Etter; a daughter, Rhonda Prasifka and husband Mike, all of Abbott; her grandchildren, Melissa Sweet and husband Brady, Aaron Prasifka and wife Ericha, and Bryan Sulak; her great grandchildren, Paylin Ainsworth, Connor Prasifka, and Elliot Prasifka; two sisters-in-law, Ella Faye Morgan and Molly Nichols and her husband Loyd; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lebanon Church or West Rest Haven Activity Fund.
