Patsy Jean Williams, age 84, of West, passed away Friday morning, October 27, 2023 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at Tokio Baptist Church near West, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery near Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel.
Patsy was born December 25, 1938 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Shook and Loma (Sullins) Harris. She attended schools in the West area. On January 23, 1954 she was united in marriage to Byron F. Williams Sr. in West. Byron preceded her in death on December 31, 2013. Patsy was a faithful member of Tokio Baptist Church where she was active for many years. She worked as a line supervisor for Harris Electric in Itasca for over 25 years until her retirement. Patsy and her daughter, Ada then owned and operated Little Shepherd Daycare in West for over 10 years. She enjoyed all the children she took care of and was affectionately known to them as "pappy daycare". Her favorite things to do were taking care of her dog Annie, shopping, and hunting for bargains. She loved cooking fried chicken, dressing, and baking desserts for her family, especially her grandchildren. Patsy was known to make a heavenly chocolate pie leaving everyone fighting for it. Her family will surely miss all these special times with her.
Patsy is also preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, James Williams; her brother, Frankie Harris; her sisters, Shirley Black and Charlene Jares; and her granddaughter, Jana McElyea.
Survivors include her children, Vicki Vochoska and husband Steven of West, Becky Jo Tobola and husband James of Hewitt, Ada Green and James of West, Byron Williams Jr. of West, Mark Williams and wife Pam of West, and Teresa King of Waco; her sister, Linda Henkelman and husband Robert; her grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Cory Williams, Austin Williams, Nathan Spires, Kayla and Brian Stroven, Brian Vochoska, Charidy and Florencio Trevino, Nathan Tobola and wife Desiree, Keri Green, Alex Green, Haley King and Anna, Rachel King, and Whitney Brummell; her great grandchildren, Heather and husband Jake, Brycen, Aleyna, Zion, Nyla, Brianna and husband Zachary, Keagan, Jadyn, Jordyn, Zaylee, Aydin, Kazen, Ashton and Addie; her great great granddaughter, Kinsley; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are her grandsons, Christopher Williams, Cory Williams, Austin Williams, Nathan Spires, Brian Vochoska, Nathan Tobola, Brian Stroven and Florencio Trevino.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tokio Baptist Church or Prairie Grove Cemetery Association.
