Patsy Joe (Pinter) Morgan, age 78, of West, passed away Friday evening, May 23, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Tokio Baptist Church, with the Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Morgan was born on December 19, 1929 in Cottonwood near West, the daughter of Joe Alexander and Rosie (Cinek) Pinter. She attended school in Cottonwood and graduated from West High School in 1948. In 1954 Patsy was united in marriage to Raymond Glenn Morgan in Waco. He preceded her in death in 1989. She worked for Pinter's Place Caf while in high school. She also worked in food service for the Connally I.S.D. with the Elm Mott School. Patsy had lived in many places including Elm Mott, Japan, and North Carolina before returning back to West in 1990. She was a loving mother to her daughters and a servant at heart to anyone who knew her. Everyone knew Patsy as a loving, caring, and sharing person. All of her family and friends enjoyed the great home cooked meals she prepared. She enjoyed flower gardening and taking care of others, especially her brother. She was an active and dedicated member of Tokio Baptist Church and a former member of the Blue Bell Garden Club in West. She is also preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Lonnie & Stella Morgan; two daughters, Glenda Gail Morgan and Kelly Ann Morgan; brothers-in-law, Lon Harris and Bud Morgan; and sister-in-law, Joyce Pinter. Survivors include one brother, Sam Pinter of West; one sister-in-law, Mildred Harris of Sylvia, NC; five nephews, Sammy Pinter and wife Kathy of Arlington, George Fouts and wife Pat and Sonny Fouts and wife Janice of Anderson, SC, Clinton Jones of Ashville, NC, and Pryde Farmer of Sylvia, NC; three nieces, Patsy Barnes and husband Loyd of Austin, Debbie Polansky and husband Freddie of West, and Sue Adams and husband Marvin of Sylvia, NC; many grand nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Loyd Barnes, Marlin Thomas, John Miller, James Miller, Jacob Polansky, Clay Miller, and Dan King. Honorary pallbearers will be Colton Polansky, Keenen Roland, Kierra Roland, Mikaya Leech and Braylon Thomas. Memorials may be made to the Tokio Baptist Church Building Fund.
