Patrick Rauschhuber

Patrick "Pat" Rauschhuber, age 91, of West, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 19, 2021 at Ridgecrest Retirement Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday October 22, 2021 at St. Martins Catholic Church in Tours, with Rev. Walter Dhanwar and Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrants. Military Graveside Rites will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours, conducted by the West Veterans Honor Guard. Pat will lie-in-state from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Pat was born March 21, 1930 in Wichita Falls, the son of Alois and Louise (Willenborg) Rauschhuber. He attended schools in Wichita Falls and Tours and was a 1948 graduate of West High School. Pat proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a farmer and raised hens. Pat took pride in selling his eggs with a delivery route in West and many surrounding areas. He worked for his brother John at Rauschhuber's TV and Appliances, servicing TV's and appliances for 22 years until his retirement in 1995. Pat was a faithful member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post #4819 of West and former Chapter President for Texas Farm Bureau. Pat enjoyed putting puzzles together, working crossword puzzles, taking walks, and going on many trips to Louisiana with Father Isidore and his sister Irene. Patrick is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Raymond Rauschuber, Frank Rauschuber, and Eddie Rauschhuber; and his sisters, Edna Thun, Louise Bartosh and Irene Brem. Survivors include his brothers, John Rauschhuber Sr. of West, and Alois Rauschhuber and wife Ellen of Santa Clara, CA; sisters-in-law, Helen Rauschuber and Nancy Rauschuber King; many nieces, nephews including John Rauschhuber Jr., and other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Martin Catholic Church in Tours, St. Martin Cemetery Association and St. Martin's C.C.E.
