A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2021 at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Deacon Terry Timmons officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pat was born November 30, 1954 in Hillsboro the son of Joe and Agnes (Snapka) Mynar, the eighth of eleven siblings. He was a 1973 graduate of Abbott High School prior to attending Hill College. He worked at Romark Logistics in Waco for over 38 years until his retirement in 2019. Pat met his partner, Gene Spain, in 1981 and they shared 23 years together. An avid fisherman, Pat loved to spend time at Lake Whitney. He enjoyed watching comedies, gardening, acquiring antiques at estate sales, hosting barbeques and fish fries for his family, as well as going on beach vacations with his dear friend Sherrie Finn. He had two beloved pets, Jones the cat and Pepper the dog. On summer afternoons, he could most often be found sitting by the pool and listening to rock music. He had a great appreciation for live shows and said that the best $5 he ever spent was for a Fleetwood Mac concert ticket. Pat enjoyed a good joke and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved spending time at Mynar Farm with his family, who cherish many fond memories of walks in the woods, bluebonnets in the meadow, and home-cooked meals every holiday.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents and his life partner, Gene.
