Patrick Laprade

Patrick Lee LaPrade, age 68, of Richardson, passed away early Friday afternoon, April 15, 2022 at Vitas Hospice in Carrollton.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating.  Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery near Ross.

Pat was born November 12, 1953 in Ft. Worth, the son of Alton and Myrtle (Callihan) LaPrade.  He was a 1972 graduate of Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  On March 20, 1976 he was united in marriage to Deborah Varner in Tulsa.  Deborah preceded him in death on July 8, 2009.  He worked in management for Dick' s Sporting Goods in Dallas for over 15 years and took great pride in mentoring his associates to further their careers.  He also worked for Brooks Brothers, Macy's, Kohl's, and The Sports Authority, all in the Dallas area. Pat enjoyed listening to music, reading, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson.

Pat is also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Alton LaPrade.

Survivors include his daughter, Shannon LaPrade of Richardson; his son, Adam LaPrade of The Colony; his beloved grandson, Jackson Davis; a brother, Tim LaPrade of Dallas; two sisters-in-law, Susie Varner and Jo Varner; many nieces and nephews, including the Wicks Family and Lauren and Joel LaPrade; and  other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Carlos Orozco, Gary Wicks II, Tim LaPrade, Dale Wicks, Joel LaPrade and Cade Wood.
